Nestling on the Southern Right Whale migration route the bays along this famous diverse coastline offer some of the best vantage points in the world for land and boat based whale watching (in season). The town itself borders upon a nature reserve and forms part of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve better known as the "heart of the fynbos kingdom" as there is an abundance of bird, wildlife and endemic plant species in the region. In September, the spring flowers add a beautiful splash of colour to the area.

Pearly Shells caters for honeymoon couples, families and groups. All rooms are en suite (Victorian bath or shower) and come equipped with fridge, kettle, tea & coffee tray, toaster, television and DVD.
